In the market for a new sequencer, suggestions?

Obviously, I have been looking around online. I've got my eyes on the MN Rene at the moment, but I'm curious to hear what others have to say. Also, well aware that different sequencers yield different results - I'm going for max flexibility rather than a certain style or function.

Budget is in the $6-800 region.

Do you think a certain sequencer is overlooked, underrated etc. and why? Let me know!
