I heard that the DX21 has a different character than the DX7 due to a higher FM index, which gives it more harmonics on a higher output. Because of this, I heard some say that the DX21 is grittier than even the DX7 Mk1. Do all of Yamaha's FM synths sound different? Do they have different qualities or character?
