How would I go about accurately sampling my favorite pads from a vintage synth?

Never been much of a sample guy, but my favorite pads come from a Prophet 5 I have access to.

Since I pretty much always dial in my favorite settings mix would I just sample each note with different ADSR settings, bring them into ma DAW (Ableton)'s Sampler and would I have an accurate recreation of that one patch I like so much?

I've really never done this.
