How to "sync" or "clock" two synths together? I have an MS-20 and a Microkorg.

So I have a Korg MS-20 and a MicroKorg. Let's say I want to be able to play them at the same time with midi notes sent from Ableton so that they are both sequencing different midi patterns. Is there a way to do this?

I have a midi cable (with midi connectors at both sides). As I understand it, I can connect them together through the midi cable (I don't know through what "in" on the MicroKorg) and then through one of the synths (say the MS-20) I can run the USB from it into my computer to pick up the midi. I want them to be able to play different sounds, not the same sound just on essentially different keyboards. Is this possible? Sorry if my question is confusing.
