Volca Keys/Controller problem

Can anyone help?

Been playing around with the Volca Keys, using it with an Alesis Q25 controller. Everything was fine but was playing around today and everytime I press anything, it will create a weird sound. It changes in pitch, can be completely different in sound, even though changing it on the keys seems to sometimes have an effect. It can come out with differing attacks and pitch even playing from the same note on the controller. I have unplugged the controller and everything works fine, but have had this setup for months with no issues. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
