USB C adaptor for USB connection for microfreak to mac mini 2018

Hello

I have a mac mini 2018 connected through usb ports with interface audio cart and minilogue xd, also external hub adaptor ends in usb c with two ports of usb connected with drumbrute impact and external HD. My question is , can I use a simple usb c adaptor to usb to connect micro freak, because there are no ports of usb left? And is this simple adaptor will work? I say simple because don't need extra power, also I ask because I saw in some posts that external audio machines will nor work with this kind of adaptors named -c because of a luck of a power, thank you in advance!!!
