Total Newb. Help with Typhoon/Clouds

Absolutely new to all this..
Just unboxed, in Granular mode (mode 1).

What I'm wondering is if the DENSITY slider is working as intended...
I basically get no sound with a wet signal unless the slider is almost completely bottom or top and then it just turns into chaos.
