OK, this post isn't a joke or a troll. I both collect and play synths. I have 16 synths; several Keyboard, rack mount and desktop varieties. I have 4 drum machines. I just got rid of 7 synths and it was like selling my own children. I have 13 left on my must have list and I'm always looking for bargains. I have new and vintage gear. My MIDI implementation is a total mess and I'm running out of space with no option to create more space or move into a bigger room.i already don't have space to have everything on a stand or on a desk so there are a handful of synths leaning against walls and sitting on a shelf. In case you were wondering, I do use them all to some extent.
In short, I got a problem.
It's pretty obvious there's literally no way I'll have my dream of having all of them out all of the time, turned on at the flick of a switch and ready to go. But I could really use some tips from y'all who might have a bunch of gear but maybe not a bunch of space.
PS I'm not too keen on going deeper than 4 tiers on Keyboard stands. The ergonomics aren't good for my body. I'm saving up for a couple 4 tier stands now. Other than that though I'm just trying to figure out a way to manage all this.
Edit: I might seem a little hyperbolic. I'm just looking for tips that you used to make your life easier. Cable management, shelving ideas, any tips or hacks really that helped out. TIA
