Drilling Through 60hp Moog Cases to share Power?

My 4MS row power has some extra ribbons available to connect more modules, but since the Moog cases are closed off, I'd need to drill through two of them to accomplish this. Anyone done this successfully? Any reason why I shouldn't go this route and get another power supply for second Moog case?
