Two midi din controllers into an mpc one

I’d like to use two older synths as controllers into my mpc one, neither of which have USB.

The mpc one has 1 midi input.
I’ve been reading up on midi merge boxes, midi splitters, midi y cables, midi to USB converters, hosts...

I’m a little confused on how to make this work.

Ideally I’d like to convert the midi out (of my microkorg) to USB and plug that into the mpc to use as a controller. Would this be possible?
