A timbre somewhat emulating throat/obertonal singing

Greetings!
There's a short jingle in the beginning of this music video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM8dCGIm6yc - which has some very interesting timbre which sounds like a obertonal singing, but feels synthetic in nature. Can anyone suggest how to emulate this one? It sounds like a combo waveform filtered with a dynamically changing resonance. What VST synths could be of use? I tried quite a few, but was unsuccessful so far.
