HELP - Endorphines Ground Control

I just picked up a Ground Control and am loving it so far as the brain of my rack. But…

One big feature I loved is how the saving/loading patterns was implemented. For the life of me, I can’t get patterns to save as it’s described in the manual and in videos. It seems really straight forward, and I’m wondering if something is wrong with how my unit is functioning.

I press the PROJECT button then record/SAVE. Then, as described, I press the keyboard key that I want to save the pattern in. However, when I go to load that pattern, it is not the one I thought I just saved there.

For example, I made a pattern with 2 melodic tracks, saved it in slot A, slot B and slot C to work on variations of that pattern on each. When I load each, it’s not correct - it’ll be a previous pattern saved there with only one or the other melodic track…sometimes will be the correct one…. ?

TL;DR Any Ground Control owners here that can walk through their save/load process and comment if I’m missing anything? Thanks.
