U.K. - want to buy my first Synth for less than £100 - doesn't have to be huge either

I am a novice electric guitar player - am getting frustrated at my lack of progress with guitar (and wish my fingers were longer) - so thought about trying a synth.

Amazon preferred - if anyone can recommend (with links) a Synth that is not overly large (I have very limited room - so even a small one that doesn't need a stand is fine...) - perhaps one I can put on my computer desk ahead of my desktop PC's keyboard...
