Hey y’all I need some vocoder advice

I Apologize for the fact that I have no idea what I’m saying but. I have a Roland jdxi and I’m trying to play a song with a the vocoder but the problem is you can’t understand a Godamn word I’m saying It’s not a massive problem but I was just wondering if anyone knows how to make myself sound clear
