I'm curious to know what kinds of other approaches to patching others use. How often do you start from scratch? Are certain routings constant? Do you have a patch that is constantly changing? Did you find a patch and have stayed with that for a long time?
My patches tend to get built up over the span of a week, I'll solo jam for a few weeks making small changes and then once a month have a full day session with friends. After that I tear it out and start over again. However when I first started in modular I would do a new patch everytime I sat down at the synth, mostly because I didn't know what I was doing and couldn't remember what I had going on previously. ?
