Korg Opsix freezes when using USB Midi

Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue. The way I usually record synths with a built in sequencer is 1. record the sequence on the synth 2. record output to daw, syncing the synth via midi to the daw. I tried to do that on my opsix and 1 out of 5 times the whole synth crashes. This only happens with USB midi however- if I used a dedicated midi interface it wouldn't crash. Any advice?

EDIT: Is there also a way I could turn the network mode off completely? Feel like that may be tripping it up.
