2hp Grain... a Clouds alternative?

Has anyone taken a closer look at Grain, the upcoming granular module by 2hp? Obviously it cannot be a MI Clouds, but does it get you in that ball park with only 2 HP? I must admit, I’m intrigued, but detailed information seems hard to find...
