How do YOU assign Midi CC knobs?

I’ve been playing around with the Korg iMono/Poly app all weekend using a controller that has eight CC knobs. Experimenting with different assignments has me curious what synth/effect parameters you guys find the most useful to have on your controller when using software synths.

Do you always generally keep the same types of parameters assigned, is it really just patch specific, or do you never use them at all?

Filter cutoff and res, lfo depth, and delay/reverb wetness seem like obvious choices for how I play.
