Looking for direction with metal/industrial system

Looking to build something for "live" metal/industrial jams, with glitched samples for percussion and fill. Honestly feel a little out of my depth, and not sure where to start.

Modulargrid rack I linked is a little more inspo board, as I'm not sure what utilities I might be missing or what redundancies I might run into.

Also looking at the M185 Sequencer as an alternative to the Metropolix
