What's the deal with Trident..?

Hi, lately I've come across several comments on this voice that claim the Trident is the thing, outright praise, but I've yet to hear/see it demonstrated in a way that convinces me to spend $900 on this. It looks impressive, its build is certainly of superb quality, but the palette of sounds is what I'm wondering about...

I'm currently looking for new voices to add to my rack and I find e.g. 4ms Ensemble Osc a very convincing proposition (a much, much cheaper than Trident). And why not Odessa instead of the Trident..?

What am I missing about the Trident..?
