ASM Hydrasynth Polytouch via External MIDI devices

I wonder if it's possible to use Desktop Version of ASM Hydrasynth and still use Polytouch features via external midi device. I have digital piano and don't really need any keys in synth. But also I hear from the people, that Polytouch is a killer feature in ASM Hydrasynth.

It would be nice to spread some knowledge on the topic.
