iPad keyboard possibilities?

What are the current options for attaching an iPad to a midi keyboard? I've been buying up synth apps and now it's time to integrate it into the set up. I guess I need some sort of midi in/out interface and am guessing I can just tap the 1/8" for the out? Knobs would be fun to have too.

I do have a Nectar Impact but am not sure the best way to connect the two (off computer would be very nice).

Any help would be great.
