I might have grilled my Doepfer A-166

I received it yesterday and it was working fine, today its not working anymore. Since I was changing and rearranging a lot in my rack, my best guess is that I somehow created a short circuite while doing so. When I power it on, the upper five or six leds glow lights and then fade out within couple of seconds. Other than this it doesn't do anything. Furthermore, I noticed that some of the capacitors become pretty hot, not sure of this is correct behaviour. I am having a multimeter as well as soldering equipment at my disposal, not much experience though. What would you guys suggest to do? Thanks a lot
