Is there a market for painted gear?

So in the next couple of weeks I'm going to take my KeyStep apart and throw a custom paint job on it and it's kind of had me wondering...

Is there a market for this type of thing? I know there are at least a few off ducks like myself who would consider it worth a little extra time, money, for a custom paint job on something like a midi controller, but I guess I'm turning this into a kind of poll.

If you saw a version of a synth you already planned on buying listed on reverb at a premium with some extra color, would you go for it? Or is gear already so expensive that you'd pass?
