<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>Can anybody recommend a sound design course that is not ground zero beginner, but beginner nevertheless. Just Subtractive Analog (or VA) Synthesis. Need to walk before I can run. So not dealing with FM, Wavetable, etc. I'd like to focus on the just one synthesis instead before I learn others or even combine them.</p> <p>I don't need to go through explanations of Tone Generators, Envelope Generators, LFOs. I understand the concepts, but putting it into practice and application is the initial barrier.</p> <p>Mostly learn by example. Even better if it relates directly to a particular free stand alone analog synth. So, for example, starting with creating a generic string sound. Then a woodwind sound. Then onto more difficult sounds like a bell.</p> <p>I bought Arturia Pigments 2 and am trying to reverse engineer by following the signal path and what each preset is doing. But the large amount of options might be making it more difficult than need be.
