Never really owned a proper hardware drum machine. They are both so similar in price that it doesn't really matter. I would like to be able to mess around with them stand-alone but also would like to integrate them in logic. I really like the fact that the RD-8 is analog. Is there any specific deal-maker that makes one "better" than the other? The music I usually do is rock and roll guitar stuff but I like Hip Hop and sort of funky psychedelic stuff. I don't do techno or dance EDM stuff. I'm also really interested in the Elektron Digitakt which I understand is kind of a whole other animal. Thank you for your insight.

submitted by /u/Uncle_Antonov_Bueno
[link] [comments]
