Korg RADIAS DSP Serial Bus Error

<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>Hey y'all. I recently acquired a used Korg Radias in great cosmetic condition, but I am having some issues when trying to use actually use it. When I first turned it on, the device did in fact turn on, and displayed the loading screen with the Radias logo, but after the loading screen, the LCD screen went blank, with some of the button lights and encoder lights turned on. The closest thing I could compare it to is like a 'Vegas' mode, with all the lights turned on, but nothing actually happening. The device was 'on', but not booting up. It is also unresponsive; nothing happens when I press any buttons.</p> <p>After restarting it a few times, the Radias did manage to boot up after about 30 seconds of a blank screen. This was a few days ago. The device has only successfully booted up maybe 3 times, in the 4 days I've had it. I also tried a brand new power supply, but that is not helping. The Radias already has the latest firmware (2.0). I have not found a way to trigger a factory reset that does not require the device to actually boot up.</p> <p>I discovered that the Radias has a diagnostic mode (triggered by holding the Wave ^ and OSC MOD buttons in the Oscillator 1 section and then pressing the power button).</p> <p>When running the &lt;DSPSER&gt; test, I get the error:</p> <p>&quot;Serial Bus Error - SLV to MST&quot; (Slave to Master)</p> <p>My guess is that this is related to the issues with the device failing to boot up. The DSP1 and DSP2 tests and SDRAM checks seem to have run successfully, and I don't really know what this error means. I'm guessing that the two DSP chips are okay, but there is some problem communicating between them? I don't know if this is a hardware or software issue. I have no idea what is happening or what is wrong. I looked inside the unit, and I don't see anything that is obviously broken, with my untrained eyes.</p> <p>Is there anyone familiar with this kind of stuff that has ideas on how to fix this, or what this error means? I don't want to have to go through returning this if it is possible to fix, but I don't really know anything about repairing electronics. I write software so I can grasp the technical stuff; I'm just clueless about it.</p> <p>I have been scouring Korg Forums, and <a href="http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=71981&amp;sid=faee4c4cd1845baaaa9f0b436539f647">this post</a> seems to be the most closely related to my issue that I have found so far.
