<!-- SC_OFF --><div class="md"><p>My newly acquired TR-08 does this, presumably to make rolls sound more realistic(?). I wasn't prepared for this as my previous drum machine was a simple sample-based type.</p> <p>So, I'm curious whether this was a function of the original machine or something Roland augmented in what they view as a modern improvement.</p> <p>(I've had the TR-08 and its manual long enough to know that there's no option to address this function.)</p> </div><!-- SC_ON --> submitted by <a href="https://www.reddit.com/user/TBSJJK"> /u/TBSJJK </a> <br/> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers/comments/s5n1au/did_the_tr808_vary_its_snare_sounds_by_step/">[link]</a></span> <span><a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers/comments/s5n1au/did_the_tr808_vary_its_snare_sounds_by_step/">[comments]</a></span>
