Does anyone know what a type U77 is? It is a medium sized octal glass tube. Looks well made. Seems like a weird typing. Did Gold Lion have their own tube numbering system? Have fun. Larry"
Yes I can, Larry. It is an EXTREMELY desirable replacement for the common GZ34. Originally it was alleged to be more like a 5R4 but is still used as a 5AR4. Routinely selling for $500 to $1000 apiece. And you can't find any real NOS U77s on eBay because it's saturated with Chinese fakes.
(Posted on 2018-01-17 05:53:38 by Metasonix)
