I’m shopping for a groove box that will effectively kill my DAW, and add some fun and flexibility to how I write and perform music. Have you had experience with any of these devices? What are your thoughts / pros and cons? And finally, are there even any benefits to going dawless? I currently use a Push 2 with Live to sample, sequence and record a myriad of external hardware—which does the trick for jamming and recording at home, but it’s extremely cumbersome to set up for any sort of gig, and at times I feel it’s disrupts my workflow rather than contributes to it. Any and all suggestions and comments appreciated!

submitted by /u/lurk_slc
[link] [comments]
