I have a growing collection of synths and miscellaneous gear and I’m getting tired of plugging them into my 4i4 focusrite one at a time… I’m looking for either an 8 or 16 track mixer than can incorporate aux sends/returns (to send to various pedals) and be able to connect to a DAW for tracking purposes.

Not opposed to any mixers that would let me mix on the board itself, in fact I prefer it that way. But I would like to at least record stems into a DAW for finer mixing and mastering.

I found a marketplace listing for a Yamaha MT8X and I really like the idea of analog mixing, but it doesn’t seem to have any great way to connecting to a DAW besides routing the mains into an interface.

What mixers do you all use/recommend? I want to be able to jam, but also record and go in and fix mistakes.

submitted by /u/daltonwaffles
[link] [comments]
