I've been a piano player since 2010 and lately I got curious about new sounds because I feel i could play so many things and explore with synthesizers. This year I began a "audio engineer" degree and i would like to explore with a synth.

There is a used Prophet 12 for 2000€, which I could buy but it's a bit expensive since I'm a student. Some other options i've been looking were the Deepmind 12, Novation Summit, Rev2, Korg Prologue. Is it worth expending that much money? I have also seen the Sub 37, which is totally different but I would consider it as an option aswell.

I feel that i would need something polyphonic since I have played lots of jazz and it's what I like the most, but something to make great bass lines and some good solos would be nice too.

Thanks!

submitted by /u/Arnaug_05
[link] [comments]
