I'm looking to buy my first synth for my band, mostly playing rock/psych rock stuff. There are two offers I have found for used Roland synths with the vr09 being £100 more than the di. I will mostly be playing hammond/piano sounds but I love the Rhodes sound so would be a plus if that was especially good.

I've heard the di get some hate but maybe someone could advise me what to pick here. Are these synths going to become obsolete anytime soon? I don't really need a workstation, more so an instrument to practice with and play live.

submitted by /u/epaj95
[link] [comments]
