Restrict CV to a range (octave range)

Is it possible to restrict CV to a range of octaves?

Sometimes I get super lazy, and I just want to generate some simple arpeggio using my Malekko Voltage Block.

The Voltage Block doesn't have a way of defining an octave range like the Variegate modules do - so when I generate a random sequence I get notes spanning 1 to 8/9 octaves (0 to about 8 volts).. which means that I always have to go in and edit individual steps and sort of tame the range of CV being output.

Ideally I'd like to tame my Voltage Block's output to a range of 2 to 3 octaves. (Doesn't have to be two octaves exactly).

I can't seem to find any algorithms solving this task on my Disting MK4. But perhaps this is possible using a combination of modules?

Any ideas?
