Midi issues with launchkey

So I recently received a Novation Launchkey mk3 for use with my Novation Circuit and DAW (Ableton Live)

Anyway, the Circuit uses 5-pin MIDI, but needs a 5-pin to 3.5 adapter, and it came with two of them. I plugged the adapters into my midi cable, and hooked the Launchkey to my Circuit, but no sound came out. I don't know what happened, but the Launchkey is either not sending MIDI, or the Circuit isn't receiving it.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I should do? Any help would be appreciated!
