is anyone here familiar with the 4ms stereo triggered sampler?

specifically, does anyone know how quickly you can access a sample you just recorded? i'm trying to determine how viable this thing would be for live sampling, preferably with minimal manual input from me - or, if manual input is required, preferably the kind of thing that could/would become muscle memory over time.

i'm wanting to live sample contact mic signals from drums, trying to manipulate and stretch them into completely non-drum sounds, and aesthetically i'd really like to be able to do this live and in the moment.

is this the right direction?
