Was the DSI Rev2 the wrong buy?

So i recently acquired a DSI Rev2 16 as my second poly synth and i have played on it for about 2 weeks now and have a week left on trial period. I liked it for the first week but recently i have started to feel like it’s tonal pallete isn’t very wide and the sound design, although versatile, is more aimed towards classic analogue sound and i can’t get contemporary sounds out of it. Does anyone else feel like this and is it worth me switching to the novation summit? Which is the synth i had to choose between.
