New to modular systems (Pulsar-23), risks of damaging the machine?

So, I'll get a Pulsar-23 from SOMA and I'm new to this kind of machines. My simple question is:

Are there risks of damaging the machine by messing with the alligator clips?

I will read the manual and learn how everything works anyway (I already know the basics). Thanks for the help!
