Which synthesizers should I buy for post-punk/darkwave?

Nowadays, I am searching for lots of synths, but I have minimal knowledge about which synth should I buy? For instance, to play, ''She Past Away'' do I mono or polysynth? Is ''Arturia Microbrute Analog Synthesizer - Creation Edition'' a suitable synth for me? My budget is 300$-400$ around.
