Desktop mono synth with patch memory?

The Behringer clones sound great, but lack of presets leaves me afraid to breath on them when I dial in a good patch. Meanwhile the Slim Phatty and AS-1 have patch memory, but awful menu diving required for programming. Sub 37 and Sub Phatty have it all, but they're the size of a lawnmower and my studio is small.

Is there a decent sounding, knob for function(ish), desktop mono synth with presets on the market? I know that's a very particular list, but at the same time I don't feel it's terribly unreasonable.
