What're everyone's favourite soft synths / effects plugins?

I've got some hardware in my setup but I'd love to utilize my daw and some more powerful (and cheaper than hardware) vsts and plugins in my ableton, I'd love recommendations of your favourite affordable synths, reverbs, granulators, etc!
