T-1 Sequencer - controlling 'Phrase' from the CV input

Any T-1 users tried using the CV input to control the 'phrase' of a track?

From the manual this seems to be how much the note (or chord) on each step is adjusted, ie to make a chord progression. But the manual does not give an idea of how much adjustment is made, is this 1V per octave, and whether it's both up/down (ie 5v would be 'no adjustment'Wink...

I'm also wondering whether a cable can just loop back from one of the CV outputs, so that one track can program a custom progression on the other tracks?
