in need of help with my DX7IID

So I recently got a dx7iiD, and when it arrived it would not turn on at all. I opened it checked the fuses and for any dead components or burnt spots on the board but everything was in order. I eventually cleaned up the contacts on some spots and it started working. The odd part is that prior to working the power switch functioned fine, when pressed it would stay down as intended. Once the synth began to actually power on it took a lot of finesse to keep the switch down (once it was down it was also kinda hard to get back up) but now it's not powering on again and the switch is mechanically fine again. I've checked and the switch does receive current while plugged in, so I'm kinda at a loss.

My guess is that the switch itself is dying ? Otherwise I'm really unsure
