General question about modern synthesizers and how they work with Ableton

Hey,

So I am considering picking up the desktop hydrasynth when it comes out in a few months but one thing holding me back is not being sure how it'll interact with ableton over USB.

My process is very dependent on automation within ableton and I can't figure out if I'll be able to automate parameters on the synth over USB.

Is this a functionality that is in most modern synthesizers? Do you think it'll be in the hydra?
