Sequencing Novation Circuit with a BeatstepPro

Hello,

Looking to get rid of my volca beats. Was thinking of replacing it with a Novation Circuit as my main drums and something to take away with me to still write music.

Has anyone used a BeatstepPro to trigger the Circuit?

I guess my concern is the Circuit has an inbuilt sequencer so don't know if that would make it redundant.
