What pocket operator is better for drums: The tonic or the k.o.?

I wanted to get a cheap new piece of gear for music and I was thinking the tonic because it's less sample based than the rhythm po but with the k.o. operator, you can record your own samples, meaning it's better with samples than the rhythm, but i don't know if you get any actual oscillators in the k.o. like in the tonic, apparently.

Which is the best option?
