Is the keystep pro a recommended midi sequencer/recorder/mixer for dawless jams?

I see the keystep pro has 2 midi out. Does it mean you can only connect and control two midi devices to it? I see plenty of demos of running a number of VSTs through it but that's not what I am after.

I am considering a dawless setup with 3 synths and a drum machine. I would like to control all 4 devices live through something like the keystep pro.

Is that possible?

What midi sequencer/mixer is recommended in analog setups?
