Got an MS-1 a few days ago, and I’m pretty happy with it so far...but.
Obviously one of the first things I did was recreate the patch from Boards of Canada’s Roygbiv, which just oozes SH101 sound. I noticed when dialing the final tweaks in that the lower third or so of the sliders is really twitchy, and the top two-thirds really long.
Does anyone know: 1. Did Roland originally use audio taper pots for these, where Behringer presumably uses linear taper? 2. Will adding a fixed resistor between the wiper and one of the ends give more resolution at the low end?
