Connecting USB MIDI keyboard to synth?

I'm really interested on one of the Roland boutique synths, and have an Alesis V49 keyboard laying around that I would love to connect to the synth. Is there any way to do so? I can't find any USB-B to MIDI cables online, and an interface doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?
