Hi all, I've recently moved from laptop production to more hands on and I am absolutely loving it.
I purchased an Arturia Microfreak and a Korg Volca Sample 2, I have these two plugged into a small mixer that sends it all to my speakers via a denon Prime 2 (that I use as a WAV recorder for my sessions. As much as I love jamming, it would be handy to record some loop banks and use those to build a track, as I like to create atmospheric music. The Volca is great for building beats but the ability to use the Microfreak to build layers whilst jamming would be awesome. I can currently record something, then something different, then something different and so on, and export them to FL Studio where I can layer then however its a bit time consuming and doesn't feel as natural as freestyle work. My mate has a Korg Kaossilator Pro+ and we can record loop banks on there and layer and chop them up and it's great fun. Basically my question is this, is there a unit similar to the Kaossilator Pro+ that has the ability to record sound banks on top of each other, so I can layer things and chop them up? I think £260 for a unit I'll only really use as an extension for the microfreak is a bit steep personally, plus I don't need all of the functions it has.
Thanks for any replies and sorry if this seems a bit obvious to some people.
